Overcoming Regional Challenges

Weatherproofing & Maximizing Signal Performance

The greater Ottawa region—especially rural communities like Dunrobin, Carp, Calabogie, and the Ottawa Valley—is defined by thick tree canopies. SJ’s installers use high-clearance roof peak mounts, heavy-duty eave extensions, or custom tower integration to ensure you have an optimal signal.

Winters in the Ottawa region can be challenging due to heavy snowfall, ice storms and high winds. SJ ensures your custom installation is set up for this and can include the following:

Heavy-Duty Roof Penetration Mounts: Sealed and structurally braced to withstand strong winds and blowing snow.
Non-Penetrating Roof Mounts (Ballasted): Perfect for flat-roof commercial buildings or newer cottage properties.
Custom Solutions for Historic Buildings and Buildings: For historic stone homes, farmhouse or buildings in Ottawa, Richmond, Metcalfe, Manotick and Merrickville-Wolford, we ensure all cabling is routed invisibly, exterior brickwork is treated cleanly, and all roof entries are 100% weather-sealed.
Corporate Parks and Communication Hubs: The Ottawa region has many corporate tech parks, military communication hubs, and rolling hills that can occasionally complicate local Wi-Fi routing inside unique building setups. SJ configures your router in the absolute best structural location regardless of property.

What is Included in Your SJ Professional Installation?

When you book an appointment with our team, we handle the entire manual setup safely and efficiently, ensuring your Starlink speed average between 50 Mbps to 200 Mbps with low latency.

Site Assessment & Signal Testing: We scan your roofline or property to locate the zone with zero obstructions.
Weather-Sealed Structural Mounting: We install your dish using hardware designed to withstand high winds and heavy Ontario snow loads. All entry points are completely sealed and weatherproofed.
Clean Cable Routing: We professionally route the Starlink cabling from the exterior mount into your home, keeping the wires hidden, neat, and protected from the elements.
Router Setup & Tutorial: Once the hardware is secure, we walk you through the router configuration, network settings, and app alignment. We stay by your side until we run a speed test proving your connection is completely stable.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had an excellent experience with our installer, Mark. He spent the time to ensure the installation was done properly ensuring the router was hidden in a good spot. The wires are well hidden outside and Mark provided a step-by-step tutorial on my phone to help me download the app, explore all the functions of the satellite and answered questions I had. Mark is very professional and I would highly recommend this company to install your Starlink satellite service. Thank you again.
